The objective of the
day was to develop a team spirit within a large group
of staff from two existing divisions, which were being
combined into a new streamlined group.
The event was a walking treasure hunt around the famous
Lace Market district of Nottingham, which combines a
mix of new and trendy bars and shops with the historic
old buildings. The briefing was held at the group base
where teams were established and had time to plan their
strategy before setting out on the route. The challenge
consisted of following a set route solving cryptic and
photographic clues whilst undertaking other tasks along
the way. Teams successfully delegated tasks and it was
clear that good team building was being achieved.
The event concluded at a central conference venue for
a buffet lunch followed by the announcement of the results
and prize giving which took place in a spirited atmosphere.
The afternoon was given over to further team building
exercises in the conference venue and concluded with
tea and a debriefing to assess what had been achieved.
The client was very happy with the positive interaction
within the group and felt that the ice had been thoroughly
broken. Now his team could move forward together with
the objectives for the coming year.
